This is because kiln dried wood offers the ultimate burn quality with the maximum heat output. Unlike unseasoned or seasoned wood, our kiln drying process removes most of the water for you and reduces the average moisture content to between 12% - 20%. 10 kiln dried logs will generate the same level of heat as 33 unseasoned logs. This results in a hotter, more efficient fire using a 1/3 of the number of wood logs - thereby providing you with great value for money.
All our kiln dried logs are UK sourced hardwood which is proven to burn longer and give off more heat than softwood. The logs are primarily a mixture of oak, ash, beech and silver birch and release a lovely wood aroma when burned.
The pricing on our website includes delivery. However should you choose to collect a cubic metre Bag of Kiln Dried Hardwood Logs from our premises at White House Farm, Laughton, LE17 6QD, the price per bag reduces from £150.00 to only £135.00 per bag.
